The mission of Afya Baltimore Inc. is to support the successful implementation of the charters of both Afya Public Charter School and Tunbridge Public Charter School. To do this, the governing board of Afya Baltimore Inc. will manage the finances and the facilities of both schools with integrity and responsibility; develop and strengthen the overall organizational capacity and the long-term viability of Afya Baltimore Inc. and the two schools; and recruit, hire, train, and evaluate the highest quality school principals and organizational leadership.

Afya Baltimore, created in 2007 by four Baltimore City School educators, is now comprised of a talented and diverse group of community leaders, educators, and parents. The Afya Baltimore Board is responsible for operating Afya Public Charter School and Tunbridge Public Charter School.
