Mission & Vision

At Tunbridge Public Charter School, as at our sister school, Afya Public Charter School, we believe that students in the elementary and middle grades need regular opportunities to think critically, be physically active and interact constructively with peers.  As they participate in this work and play, Tunbridge PCS students will create and learn the habits of mind and body that will lead to their intellectual, physical, social, and emotional health.  The responsibility of all those connected with Tunbridge PCS—parents, teachers, administrators, board members—is to provide an effective learning environment in which Tunbridge PCS students can develop a strong sense of self, academic proficiency, and awareness of others. 

Tunbridge Public Charter School students will study rigorously throughout their elementary and then middle grades years, and ultimately become graduates who are articulate, literate young people proud to engage in the complexities of today’s world. Tunbridge PCS graduates, like their peers at Afya PCS, will be ready for the high school of their choice and ready to live healthy, purposeful lives.
