What grades does your schools serve? In 2012-2013, Tunbridge Public Charter School serves children in grades K through Grade 5. We’ll add one grade each year until Tunbridge is fully grown to a K through Grade 8.
What are the hours of the school day?
Tunbridge Public Charter School's day begins at 8:00 am, with a staggered dismissal for K at 2:45 pm, 1st - 3rd grades at 2:55 pm, and 4th - 5th grades at 3:00 pm.
Tunbridge Public Charter School was founded in 2010 and currently serves students in pre-K through grade 5. Tunbridge PCS will add a grade each year and eventually serve students through grade 8. Tunbridge PCS is operated by Afya Baltimore Inc., which also governs Afya Public Charter School, a middle school located in the BelAir Edison neighborhood. “Afya” is a Swahili word for health. At Tunbridge PCS we focus on the intellectual, physical and social health of our students. We believe that children need regular opportunities to be challenged academically, be physically active, and interact constructively with peers to create and learn habits of mind and body that lead to their living healthy, balanced lives. Tunbridge PCS is located just North of Tunbridge Road in Baltimore City, in the former St. Mary of The Assumption Catholic School near the intersection of York Rd. and Woodbourne Ave. |
