ABI Schools OST: Summer Camp
Afya Baltimore Inc. (ABI) offers a free Summer Camp program to students from our three schools featuring academic instruction and intervention, enrichment clubs, service learning and character education, fitness, fun and field trips.
The ABI Summer Camp started in 2012 and currently serves hundreds of children. The 2019 ABI Summer Camp will operate two sites for students in grades K-8 – at Tunbridge Public Charter School and Brehms Lane Public Charter School – and offers a variety of engagement opportunities. ABI Summer Programming runs for approximately five weeks in June and July, Monday through Friday.
ABI OST Summer Programming Opportunities:
Core Program – Runs from 9am-2pm, Monday-Friday. Features academic intervention and enrichment, service learning and character education, fitness and field trips. Extended day hours are offered during the duration of the camp.
Making, Baking, and the Art of Starting a Business – Runs from 9am – 2pm Monday - Friday for 2 weeks. Led by college and high schools students, middle schoolers learn how to make marketable products and sell them for fun--and a profit.
Short Sessions – One week sessions offered to rising 5th – 8th graders providing enrichment and exploration. Sessions include Artistic Expression, Basketball Clinics, and Cross Training.
Open Hours – Opportunities for ABI families and their children to access and use the school’s gymnasium and library for fun and learning.
