Tunbridge has an active and engaged Parent Teacher Organization. In 2011 and again in 2014, our group was awarded Honorable Mention for Parent Group of the Year by PTO Today magazine. From Purple Fridays to Movie Nights, and from Rollerskating to Coffee Klatches, our dedicated parents have shown our school and community that they mean business when it comes to fundraising and fun times.

All parents/guardians of children attending Tunbridge, as well as each member of the professional staff, are automatic members of the PTO and are encouraged to participate in its activities. There are no dues required to be a part of the PTO. The PTO holds a monthly meeting in the Tunbridge cafeteria, where all are welcome and encouraged to attend.

In order for these monthly PTO meetings to be a productive experience for everyone, it is intended for adults only. Childcare is generally available for those who cannot attend without it.

To make a donation to the Tunbridge PTO, please visit the ABI donations page, and specify Tunbridge and the PTO event you'd like to contribute to. Any and all amounts are welcome and appreciated!

PTO Mission Statement

The Tunbridge Parent Teacher Organization intends to promote open communication between parents, teachers, and staff at Tunbridge Public Charter School and to assist the school in its daily operations. We will work together to help create a school environment where teachers and administrators can do their best work and our students can do their best learning.

Our PTO will:

  • function as an independent organization to support the needs of the students and staff at Tunbridge.
  • not require any dues or fees for membership.
  • advise the Afya Baltimore Inc. governing board on policy and budget matters.
