Tiffany Halsey
Middle School Principal | The Belair-Edison School
Tiffany Halsey, the principal of The Belair-Edison School | Middle School, believes that a highly effective school environment is a place where parents want to send their children, students want to learn, teachers want to teach and employees want to work. This type of school fosters a sense of community in which every individual is respected and encouraged to realize their full potential. Originally from New York and earning her M.Ed in Urban Education from UMBC and her Administration Certificate from Coppin State University, Tiffany’s ultimate goal is to support and educate all children by equipping teachers with sustainable practices to help close the achievement gap and create a society of life-long learners.
Tiffany experienced firsthand the powerful impact of active parental involvement in schools with her own mother. This experience combined with her inspiring childhood teachers drives her passion to ensure that all families at BE feel welcomed and supported in the school and serve as essential partners in their child’s learning.
Working within Baltimore City Schools for over 15 years and originally serving as the Assistant Principal and Director of Culture and Climate for BE Elementary, Tiffany is deeply connected and committed to the Belair-Edison neighborhood and serving as a change agent to end the inequality of our educational system.
