Welcome to the Tunbridge Library

The Library Mission Statement

The TPCS Library will help to educate the whole child by fostering the gathering of information, the developing of multi-viewed and diverse opinions, and establishing the habit of choice-driven reading which will help our children become lifelong learners in today’s world. Through its program and collection, the TPCS Library will develop a community of readers in which reading, learning, and finding information is connected with others and celebrated.

Dramabary

What is Dramabary? In Dramabary we read books and act them out. We bring characters to life, reimagine endings, insert our own characters into stories, and create our own versions of stories we read.  We develop drama skills: voice, movement, articulation, expression, focus, and creativity, all while using children's literature.  In Dramabary we also focus on independent reading and research.  We practice finding "just right books" and using choice to discover reading preference. In the library, we work to nourish a love of reading that the freedom and comfort of a library setting can bring!

Find out more including answers to common library questions, examples of books we read and activities that go with them, and links to my favorite websites for learning and reading at www.tunbridgedramabary.weebly.com.
